Quetta: The Baloch Students Organization (BSO) has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sudden passing of veteran Baloch leader and symbol of resilience, Mama Qadeer Baloch, describing his death as a national tragedy. The statement, issued by the central spokesperson of BSO, highlighted Mama Qadeer’s enduring political legacy and unwavering commitment to the Baloch resistance movement.
According to the statement, Mama Qadeer Baloch was more than an individual; he represented an institution of resistance against state oppression and brutality. He ignited the flame of hope at a time when fear cast shadows over every corner of Balochistan. His uncompromising struggle, including the arduous long march from Quetta to Islamabad and years-long protest camps under the platform of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), are chapters in Baloch history that will never be forgotten.
The BSO statement further said that Mama Qadeer dedicated his life to wiping the tears of the oppressed and confronting injustice fearlessly. While the void created by his death is impossible to fill even over decades, his ideas and courage will continue to serve as a guiding light for Baloch youth and political activists. He emerged as a historic figure in the face of ongoing state oppression, turning steadfast resistance into a beacon of hope for building a new life and future for his people.
To pay tribute to Mama Qadeer Baloch’s selfless national service, political vision, and unwavering resistance against oppression, the BSO has announced a two-day organizational mourning. During these two days, all political and organizational activities of the BSO will be suspended. Additionally, condolence references will soon be held across all zones, where members and activists will honor his struggle and reaffirm their commitment to continue his ideological and political legacy.
The central spokesperson concluded that although Mama Qadeer Baloch’s death has left the Baloch nation in mourning, the political passion and legacy he left behind will strengthen their resolve in the ongoing struggle between truth and injustice.
