BLF Claims Responsibility for Grenade Attacks in Quetta, Kech and Roadblock in Besima

Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks and operations carried out in different parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Turbat, and Besima.

In a statement issued by Major Gwahram Baloch, spokesperson for the BLF, the group said its fighters targeted Pakistani security forces with hand grenade attacks in Quetta, Turbat and also set up a temporary roadblock on the CPEC highway in the Pathk area of Besima.

According to the statement, BLF fighters conducted snap checking during the roadblock on Friday, December 12, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the operation, two personnel of the Customs Department were taken into custody. The spokesperson said the individuals remain in the custody of the group’s interrogation team and a decision regarding their fate will be made after the interrogation process is completed.

The BLF further claimed that its fighters carried out a hand grenade attack on a Pakistani forces’ post in the Aap Daruk area of Absar, Turbat, at around 9:00 PM on December 12. The grenade reportedly landed inside the post, resulting casualties and material damage.

In a separate incident, the group stated that its fighters targeted three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel with a hand grenade near the gate of Kachhi Baig Police Station on Qambrani Road, Quetta, at approximately 2:00 AM on December 13. The BLF claimed that all three personnel were injured in the attack.

The Balochistan Liberation Front said it would continue its activities until what it described as the achievement of an independent Balochistan.
