Quetta: Mobile phone internet services in Quetta and parts of Balochistan will remain suspended for an additional two days, extending the shutdown until 18 November, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to Balochistan Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hamza Shafqaat, the extension was approved due to what the government described as “security concerns.” He further indicated that authorities may prolong the suspension again if deemed necessary.
The continued shutdown has caused widespread frustration among residents. Businesses, online workers, and students relying on mobile data for daily operations say the disruption has severely affected their routines and economic activities.
