Turbat: The tortured body of a forcibly disappeared young man has been recovered from the Ginnah area of Turbat, identified as Meerdost, son of Abdullah, a resident of Konshkalat, Tump.

According to local sources, Meerdost was detained on February 13, 2025, by personnel of the Pakistani military and members of a local death squad operating under its supervision. Since then, he had been missing. His body was discovered today in the Ginnah area of Turbat.

Witnesses reported that the body bore visible signs of severe torture.

Human rights groups have repeatedly expressed concern over the rising number of enforced disappearances and targeted killings across various parts of Balochistan. Despite ongoing appeals for independent investigations and accountability, incidents of killings and enforced disappearances continue to increase instead of decline.
