
Kech: In the Balochabad area of Mand, the six-day-long protest came to an end after successful negotiations between the families of the missing youths and the district administration. A delegation sent by the district administration met with the affected families and assured them that the detained youths would be released within a week.
According to reports, on the night of October 23, around 1:30 a.m., Pakistani military personnel raided a house in Balochabad and detained three young men Fahad Usman, Haroon Muhammad Jan, and Hamood Muhammad Jan. The families stated that after the arrests, no information about the youths was provided, which led to the start of a protest in the area.
During the demonstrations, the protesters reiterated their main demand the immediate recovery of the missing youths and guarantees for their safety. Addressing a press conference, a local speaker said, “Our children are our lives; we will go to any extent to ensure their protection.”
Following negotiations, representatives of the district administration assured the families that the detained youths would be released within a week once the investigation requirements were completed.
After the successful conclusion of the talks, the protesters announced the end of their demonstration.
