Kech: A protest against enforced disappearances continues in Mand’s Balochabad area, where families of missing persons and local residents have blocked the main highway. Demonstrators have vowed to continue their sit-in until their missing loved ones are recovered.
According to the families, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel raided a house around 3 a.m. a few nights ago and detained three young men Fahad son of Usman, Haroon son of Muhammad Jan and Hamood son of Muhammad Jan transferring them to an undisclosed location. The families said Hamood is an eighth-grade student, while Fahad and Haroon earned a living by driving vehicles.
The families complain that no information has been provided regarding the whereabouts or condition of the detained youths. They demanded the immediate release of their loved ones and legal action against those responsible.
Protesters stated that it is the duty of the state to ensure the safety of its citizens rather than abducting them from their homes. They condemned enforced disappearances as a grave violation of human rights and a reflection of the state’s moral and political failure.
The demonstrators have appealed to the local community to stand in solidarity with them and raise their voices in the pursuit of justice.
