
Turbat: Two men, were killed when unidentified armed assailants opened fire in the Singani Sar area of Turbat, the main city of Kech district in Balochistan.
According to sources, the deceased were members of a state-backed armed group locally referred to as the “Death Squad,” which operates in the area with the support of Pakistani security forces.
The victims were identified as Ikram Zamurani and Shay Mureed, son of Muhammad Ali. Ikram Zamurani was a resident of B-Anda Colony near the I.I. office in Turbat, while Shay Mureed belonged to the Absar area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, riding a motorcycle, opened targeted fire and fled the scene. Both men died on the spot.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
