TUMP: Death squad operatives on Saturday carried out a hand grenade attack on the home of a local resident, Mir Jan, injuring three people, including a woman in Balochistan’s Tump Konshkalat area.
According to hospital sources, the injured have been identified as Marine, his son Dad Jan, and his wife Bibi Naseema, whose condition is reported to be critical.
Eyewitnesses said unidentified assailants hurled two hand grenades at the house late at night, causing severe damage to the building.
Local residents noted that this was not the first attack on the family. Death squad members had previously targeted the home of Mir Jan’s sister with a grenade, injuring several women and children.
Regional sources alleged that death squad operatives in Tump operate under the protection of the Pakistani military and are involved in targeted killings, grenade attacks, and assaults on local homes, with the backing of Saeed, son of Tehsildar Abid.
