Awaran: The mutilated bodies of two Baloch youths, who had been forcibly disappeared days earlier, were recovered from Majid Peer Cross in Jhao, Awaran district.
The victims have been identified as Faheem, son of Qasim, and Baqir Baloch, son of Allah Bakhsh, both relatives and residents of Cheedgi, Awaran. According to Levies sources, Faheem was detained by Pakistani forces on September 11 from Awaran’s main bazaar, while Baqir was picked up a day later from Jhao. Both were subsequently subjected to enforced disappearance.
Their tortured bodies were discovered dumped in Jhao on Sunday.
BNM’s human rights wing, PAANK, has strongly condemned the killings, terming them part of Pakistan’s ongoing policy of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions in Balochistan.
