Quetta Lawyer Hakim Baloch Released After Weeks of Enforced Disappearance

Quetta: Hakim Baloch, a young lawyer who was forcibly disappeared from Quetta, Balochistan, has been released.

According to reports, Hakim Baloch was taken into custody during a raid at his home in the Quetta, Barowri area by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel on the night of July 23–24 and was subsequently disappeared. The incident prompted protests from the legal community and human rights organizations, demanding his immediate recovery.

Following his recovery, members of the legal community and his family expressed relief and once again urged authorities to ensure the safe return of all forcibly disappeared individuals.
