The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and supply vehicles in different parts of Balochistan, including Panjgur, Kachi, Quetta, Jeewani, Kharan, Buleda and Dalbandin.
According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch on Friday, the group carried out eight separate operations in recent days, in which it claimed to have killed eight security personnel, destroyed several vehicles and seized their weapons.
The statement said that on Thursday, a vehicle belonging to Pakistani security forces was targeted with a remote-controlled IED in the Paroom area of Panjgur, resulting in six personnel being killed on the spot and the vehicle destroyed. In another attack in the Kolpur area of Kachi, the BLA claimed it killed one bomb disposal official with an IED while they were clearing a railway track.
The group further claimed responsibility for an attack in Quetta’s Mian Ghundi area, where it said weapons were seized from police personnel before they were released with a warning. It also said its fighters launched a grenade attack on a military camp in Jeewani, Gwadar.
Additionally, the BLA claimed responsibility for killing a man it described as an intelligence informant in Kharan on August 21. It also stated that on August 23, fighters set fire to supply trucks in Buleda, Kech and two vehicles in Dalbandin, Chaghi.
