Jhao: Armed men seized a Levies checkpost on the main road in Jhao at sunset, confiscated weapons and set the post on fire.
According to sources, the attackers also launched a heavy-weapons assault on a Pakistani forces’ post in Jhao Nowndra, located about three kilometers away. During the attack, a quadcopter was reportedly shot down. The exchange of fire continued for some time, with gunfire and explosions heard in the area.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks.
