The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in Duki and Quetta, according to a statement released by the group’s spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch.
In the first incident, BLA militants reportedly carried out a grenade attack on a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Duki on Wednesday night. The explosion injured one CTD officer, identified as Nooruddin, and caused structural damage to the facility.
In a separate attack, the BLA claimed to have killed an alleged operative of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence (MI), identified as Mushtaq Hussain, son of Ali Nawaz Rathore, a resident of Moro, Sindh. The incident occurred in the Sariab, Kechi Baig area of Quetta.
According to the BLA, Mushtaq Hussain was an active service member of the Pakistani military and had been tasked with establishing covert intelligence cells across Quetta, including in Sariab. These cells were allegedly involved in recruiting informants and facilitators for intelligence operations.
The BLA spokesperson warned that other individuals linked to these cells have been identified and will face similar consequences.
