
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Yasir Ali Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani forces in Quetta, Family Demands His Release
According to Zrumbesh sources, Yasir Ali, a medical entrance exam candidate from Gishkore, Awaran, has forcibly disappeared from Millat Plaza on Quarry Road in Quetta at approximately 4:00 AM , while preparing for his upcoming MDCAT examination.
Yasir Ali, son of Naseer Ahmed, had been preparing for the exam for four years in pursuit of his goal of becoming a doctor. The MDCAT test is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2026.
According to his family, Yasir was picked up by personnel affiliated with Military Intelligence (MI) or the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
His family says his disappearance, coming just weeks before the exam, has left them “deeply worried about his safety, well-being, and life.”
In a statement, the family appealed to human rights activists, civil society members, lawyers, and journalists to raise awareness of the case and press for information about Yasir’s whereabouts, calling for his safe and immediate release.
