In Balochistan’s Chaman region, one Levies officer was killed and two others were seriously injured in an armed attack near the railway crossing on Roghani Road.
According to sources, the Levies personnel were conducting a routine check of suspicious individuals when they signaled two unidentified men on a motorcycle to stop. Instead of complying, the assailants opened indiscriminate fire on the officers.
As a result, three officers, Ismatullah, Abdul Razzaq and Abbas sustained injuries. They were rushed to Chaman Civil Hospital, where officer Ismatullah succumbed to his wounds.
The two remaining injured officers were given initial medical treatment and later shifted to the Quetta Trauma Centre for further care.
