Turbat: All Three Victims Killed in Alleged Fake Encounter Identified as Previously Disappeared Persons

In Balochistan’s Kech district, all three individuals killed in a suspected fake encounter by Pakistani forces in the Hoshab area have been identified as previously forcibly disappeared persons. According to sources, these individuals had earlier been taken into custody by Pakistani forces and had remained missing since.

The first victim has been identified as Imran Wahid, son of Abdul Wahid, a resident of Dashti Bazaar, who was forcibly disappeared on April 9, 2025, after being detained by the forces. The second has been identified as Hamid, son of Mola Dad, from Apsar, who was reported missing after being taken by the forces on April 14, 2025.

The third victim, initially unidentified and kept at Civil Hospital Turbat, has now been recognized as Irshad, son of Zabad, a student from Jatt Bazaar, Kolwah. He was also previously subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces.

Sources claim that following intensified attacks on Pakistani forces across Balochistan, the military extrajudicially executed the missing persons and discarded their bodies to portray them as militants.

The ongoing trend of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan continues to raise serious concerns. Families of the victims consistently reject the forces’ claims, insisting that their loved ones were already in custody and were not involved in any armed activities.
