The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for multiple operations carried out across different regions of Balochistan, including the killing of an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officer in Pasni.
According to a statement issued by the BLA, its fighters conducted an intelligence-based operation in Pasni city, Gwadar, on Saturday night, targeting Muhammad Nawaz, an ISI operative from Hakeem Wala near Chorangi Joharabad, Khushab district of Punjab. Nawaz was reportedly traveling in a vehicle along with death squad agents when BLA fighters attacked the group using a remote-controlled IED near Maskan Chowk graveyard at approximately 7 PM.
The blast resulted in the deaths of ISI officer Muhammad Nawaz and another individual identified as Salman, son of Muneer Ahmed, a resident of Babbar Shoor, Pasni. A third agent, Shah Nazar, was injured in the attack, and the vehicle was completely destroyed. The BLA alleged that a key operative of the so-called death squads, Balach, had been facilitating the ISI officer’s activities in Pasni.
The BLA further stated that its intelligence wing “ZIRAB” had kept the ISI operative under constant surveillance prior to the attack.
In separate operations, BLA fighters also targeted occupying Pakistani army personnel in the Jamaki Tank area of Zamuran, where a sniper attack reportedly killed one soldier.
Additionally, BLA fighters set up a blockade on the Quetta-Karachi highway at Khazinai in the Mangocher area of Kalat, where they conducted snap checking and targeted vehicles associated with the Saindak Project.
In another attack on Sunday night, BLA fighters targeted the police line in the Dhadar area of Bolan with a hand grenade.
The BLA spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch, confirmed responsibility for all these operations and vowed that attacks against the occupying forces and their collaborators would continue with greater intensity.
