Pakistani Intelligence Agencies Are Issuing Grave Threats. Journalist Niaz Baloch

Renowned journalist Niaz Baloch has revealed that in recent days, he has been targeted by individuals on social media who present themselves as operatives of Pakistan’s state intelligence agencies and have issued him serious threats, including threats of enforced disappearance.

Niaz Baloch stated that in Balochistan, no one is safe, not journalists, teachers, doctors, lawyers, writers, singers, students, or political activists. Anyone who dares to speak out against oppression and brutality is either forcibly disappeared or murdered by unknown assailants. Such individuals are part of what are referred to as “death squads,” which are spreading terror openly and without consequence.

The journalist made an urgent appeal to the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to immediately and effectively address the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan.

He warned that continued silence will only lead to more bloodshed. The oppressed people of Balochistan are in desperate need of justice and protection. The time has come for the global conscience to awaken and listen to the voices of the persecuted.

It is worth noting that in recent years, dozens of journalists have been killed or forcibly disappeared in Balochistan, and freedom of expression in the region has been completely crushed.
