Reports of enforced disappearances continue to emerge from Balochistan, with two separate incidents reported within the last 24 hours, highlighting the persistent human rights crisis in the region.
In the Manguchar area of Kalat district, Pakistani forces allegedly detained and forcibly disappeared two young men on April 12, 2025. The victims have been identified as Zaid, son of Abid Khan, a resident of Sariab Mills Colony, Quetta, and Ijaz, son of Khuda Bakhsh, a resident of Manguchar, Kalat. Both were reportedly taken into custody simultaneously before being subjected to enforced disappearance.
In a separate incident from the Sui Gopat area of Dera Bugti, personnel from the Frontier Corps (FC) allegedly detained a Levies Force personal, Nawaz Ali, son of Sattar Bugti. Sources say Nawaz Ali was on his way home after completing his duty when FC personnel intercepted and detained him. He has been missing since the arrest, with no information provided about his whereabouts.
These incidents are part of a troubling pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Nearly 10 such cases have been reported across the province in the past 24 hours alone, underscoring growing concerns over state-led human rights violations.
