Sohbatpoor: Seven members of the same family were killed in a brutal firing incident in Balochistan’s district Sohbatpur , police reported.
The attack took place within the jurisdiction of RD-238 police station, where armed assailants stormed a hut-like house and opened fire. Among the victims were the head of the household, his wife, four sons, and a daughter. The deceased children were reportedly aged between one and fifteen.
Following the assault, the attackers set the house ablaze, reducing it to ashes.
The family worked as tenant farmers on land owned by a local landlord. Preliminary reports suggest the attack may have stemmed from a dispute over agricultural land.
The incident occurred late at night, around 3 AM, while the family was inside. Police have since cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
