Mashkay, Awaran: At a public gathering organized by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) in Mashkay Awaran, BNM leaders declared that Pakistan’s occupation of Balochistan is no longer tenable, citing the state’s ongoing genocidal actions and human rights abuses.
Speakers including Iqbal Baloch (Welfare Secretary), Ustad Mehran (Zone President), and Rafiq Baloch (former organizer), moderated by Talar Baloch (Vice President), emphasized that the Baloch nation has resisted foreign domination throughout history and continues to fight for freedom 77 years on.
They stated that Pakistan’s military is now in a defensive posture, unable to move freely or even secure its own bases. The desperation of the Pakistani army is visible in its brutality, targeting civilians, women and children, and disguising soldiers as police to carry out attacks.
The gathering also highlighted BNM’s international advocacy efforts, noting that the global community is increasingly aware of Pakistan’s repression in Balochistan. The crackdown on the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and mass arrests of political activists, they said, reflect a state fearful of even Baloch children.
They said that, Pakistan’s violent occupation is collapsing under the weight of its own crimes — genocide, collective punishment, and fear-driven repression.
