Mashkay (Monitoring Desk) Pakistani security forces have been accused of killing three forcibly disappeared Baloch youths in a staged encounter and dumping their bodies in a desolate area of Mashkay, Balochistan.
According to local sources, the victims have been identified as Zahoor s/o Huzoor, Shahnawaz s/o Jalal, and Habib s/o Eido. Zahoor and Shahnawaz were reportedly abducted last night from the Shardohi area of Mashkay, while Habib had been disappeared for nearly twenty days after being forcibly disappeared from the Turatdan area, also located in Mashkay.
Sources allege that all three individuals were kept in illegal detention before being extrajudicially executed in what is being described as a fake encounter. Their bodies were later discarded in a remote, uninhabited area. The local population has condemned the incident, calling it a continuation of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan..
It is important to note that this is not an isolated incident. Earlier this year, at least eight forcibly disappeared Baloch youths were also killed in alleged fake encounters and their bodies similarly dumped in deserted areas.
No official statement has been issued by the authorities regarding the latest incident.
Human rights organizations and Baloch activists have repeatedly called for international attention to what they describe as a systematic campaign of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings targeting the Baloch population.
