(Monitoring Desk): The spokesperson of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has stated in a press release that, considering the public damages, the protest in Shal has been postponed tonight, and the next course of action will be announced tomorrow morning.
They stated that after the evening, the state of Pakistan has crossed all limits of terrorism in Shal. The state has been attacking the peaceful protest for five to six hours. The entire area has been sealed off, and the injured are being denied access to hospitals. Hundreds of peaceful protesters have been arrested, and continuous direct firing is being done on the public. Additionally, intelligence agency personnel in plain clothes are damaging the property of the common people.
They further said that due to the way the state police and intelligence agency personnel are harming the public, firing directly at them, and setting fire to public property, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee has decided to postpone tonight’s protest in Quetta and announce the next course of action tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, BYC central leader Sabghatullah Shahji issued a video message, advising the public to stay at home given the current situation. He emphasized that the actions being taken by the state should not be attributed to the common Baloch people. The state police and intelligence personnel are targeting the public, firing directly on them, and burning public property. Considering these circumstances, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee has decided to postpone the protest tonight and announce the next course of action tomorrow morning.
