Quetta: BYC Leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch Among Several Protesters Arrested and Disappeared by Pakistani Forces.

This morning in Quetta, Pakistani forces stormed the protest sit-in organized by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and forcibly arrested and disappeared BYC leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch along with several other protesters, transferring them to an undisclosed location.

According to sources, security forces subjected women and children present at the protest to severe violence. As the demonstrators continued their sit-in with the bodies of protesters killed the previous day, the forces raided the site, arresting and disappearing several individuals while also taking away the bodies of the deceased.

Confirming the incident, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee stated that at around 5:30 AM, Pakistani forces attacked the sit-in, detaining Dr. Mahrang Baloch and numerous activists and protesters, all of whom have been taken to an unknown location.

It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, Pakistani police indiscriminately opened fire on a protest rally demanding the release of forcibly disappeared individuals, including BYC leader Bebarg Baloch, his brother, and Dr. Ilyas Baloch. The attack resulted in the killing of three protesters and injuries to several others, prompting demonstrators to stage a sit-in with the bodies of the deceased.
