Quetta: Gas Leakage Explosion Kills Two, Injures Five

Quetta (Monitoring Desk):

A powerful explosion caused by a gas leakage in Quetta’s Pashtunabad area resulted in the deaths of two people, including a young girl, while five others sustained injuries.

According to police sources, the explosion occurred at approximately 3 AM when the gas supply was restored after load shedding, leading to a sudden surge in pressure.

Emergency teams and rescue workers reached the scene immediately, shifting the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution when handling gas appliances, especially during load shedding hours, to prevent similar incidents.

Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the damage and the exact cause of the leakage.
