Protest Rally will be Held Demanding Release of Ustad Wahid Kamber

Turbat, A protest rally will be held on Wednesday, December 19th to demand the immediate recovery of Ustad Wahid Kamber, a prominent Baloch nationalist leader who has been forcibly disappeared.

The rally will commence at Atta Shad Degree College and culminate at Shaheed Fida Ahmad Chowk in Turbat. Protest rally calls by Ustad Wahid Qamber’s daughters, Advocate Shari Baloch and Mahlab Baloch.

Over the past few days Both sisters have been actively campaigning across Kech district to raise awareness about their father’s disappearance and to gain support for the protest. Numerous political, social, and human rights organizations, along with prominent individuals, have pledged their solidarity with the cause.

The District Bar Association has also announced a court boycott on the 19th in support of the protest.

Ustad Wahid Kamber, a 75-year-old senior politician, has a history of enforced disappearances. Despite being acquitted by the courts in the past, he has been subjected to another round of abduction while seeking medical treatment in Iran.

Mahlab Baloch, Ustad Wahid Kamber’s daughter, has appealed to the people of Kech to participate in the rally in large numbers. She urged them to demonstrate their patriotism by demanding that her ailing father be presented in a court of law and given a fair trial.

She emphasized that forced disappearances are a grave human rights violation and called upon national and international human rights organizations to take immediate action.
