QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: Armed groups launched multiple attacks across Balochistan, targeting a police station, a former chief minister’s rest house in Jhal Magsi and a Pakistani Army camp in Zamuran, Kech.
In Jhal Magsi, armed men attacked the police station and the rest house of a former chief minister using rocket launchers and other heavy weapons, with the sound of explosions reverberating across the area. Clashes were reported between the attackers and a combined Pakistani force of police and a pro-government group. No casualties have been confirmed so far. Jhal Magsi police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down those responsible.
Separately, Baloch militants attacked a Pakistani Army camp in Zamuran, Kech, using light and heavy weapons, according to a Zrumbesh source. The assault reportedly inflicted damage on army personnel and installations, though further details on casualties or the scale of damage have not yet been confirmed.
Authorities noted that Jhal Magsi has seen similar attacks in the past, with armed individuals having briefly seized control of parts of the area on previous occasions. Responsibility for past attacks in the region has typically been claimed by Baloch separatist armed organizations; however, no group has yet claimed responsibility for either of incidents.
