The spokesperson of Baloch Yakjehti Committee said that the fencing of Gwadar is part of China-Pakistan’s colonial project CPEC, which aims to hand over Gwadar completely to China. With the launch of the CPEC project, the local people of Gwadar are being harassed in various ways to uproot them from their native land and hand over Gwadar completely to China.
Earlier, Gwadar was surrounded by military cantonments, check posts and military camps, and now the entire city of Gwadar is being fenced off, which is a gross violation of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and all kinds of human rights.
We will not remain silent in any case against the plan to fence Gwadar and hand it over to China in the name of development and security, but we will put up strong public resistance.
In this regard, a public protest rally is being held in Gwadar city on May 12 tomorrow and we will spread this movement throughout Balochistan and this public resistance movement will continue until the complete end of this project.
We urge international human rights organizations and organizations working in war-torn areas to speak out against the fencing of Gwadar, the eviction of local people, and the handing over of Gwadar to China.
