In Balochistan’s Awaran district, a youth was killed and another injured when armed assailants opened fire near the Draskai stream.
According to details, Rajid Ali, son of Allah Bakhsh and a resident of Sayah Kal, Malaar, died on the spot due to the gunfire, while Naeem, son of Arz Muhammad of Sayah Kal, sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving the information, Levies and police personnel reached the scene and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital in Awaran for postmortem.
Local sources claim that the attack was carried out by operatives of a state-backed armed group commonly known as the “Death Squad.”
It is worth noting that this group has long been accused of involvement in targeted killings of Baloch youth, enforced disappearances, and other social crimes under the alleged patronage of Pakistani security forces.
