
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, in a statement issued to the media, claimed responsibility for the attack on the Pakistani Army in Ziarat, stating that two military camps were seized, 13 personnel were killed and their weapons were taken into custody.
According to the spokesperson, BLA fighters, during a coordinated military operation in the Ziarat area, gained full control over two Pakistani Army camps, seized all weapons and ammunition present there and ambushed military and police reinforcement convoys, inflicting heavy casualties.
He stated that on Saturday, BLA fighters simultaneously attacked two Pakistani Army camps located at a place called “Kharwari Baba” in Ziarat, advancing from multiple directions to surround the camps. After intense fighting, they successfully gained complete control of both camps. As a result of the close-range combat, 9 army personnel were killed on the spot, while other defeated soldiers abandoned their positions and weapons and fled the battlefield.
He further said that after taking control of the camps, fighters seized a large quantity of modern military weapons, communication equipment and ammunition stockpiles and subsequently set both military camps on fire, completely destroying them.
The statement said that meanwhile, other BLA units established blockades on the main highway and took control of the roads. Reinforcement convoys of the army and police attempting to advance toward Kharwari Baba were ambushed at two separate locations. In these attacks, 4 more personnel were killed and several others were wounded, while their military vehicles were also destroyed.
The spokesperson concluded by reaffirming that the Baloch Liberation Army is committed to continuing such organized, coordinated and decisive attacks on enemy positions with even greater intensity until the complete liberation of occupied Balochistan and the full withdrawal of occupying forces.
