QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The protest camp set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) in front of the Quetta Press Club has entered its 6198th day under the leadership of organization head Niaz Muhammad. The protest continues to demand the immediate and effective resolution of enforced disappearance cases in Balochistan.

On this occasion, former chairman of Baloch Students Organization (BSO), Maheem Khan Baloch, comrade Manzoor Baloch, and representatives from various ideological backgrounds visited the protest camp, expressing solidarity with the families of the missing persons.

Participants recorded their protest against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial actions, and the failure to recover missing individuals. They urged the government to take urgent and meaningful steps to address this humanitarian issue and ensure the safe return of all disappeared persons.

Niaz Muhammad, VBMP leader, emphasized that the organization’s prolonged, peaceful, and democratic struggle aims for a complete end to enforced disappearances and the safe recovery of missing persons. He stated that enforced disappearances violate human rights and the principles of the rule of law, making serious action indispensable for a permanent solution.

He further demanded an end to extrajudicial killings of missing Baloch youth. Those accused of any wrongdoing should be produced before courts, given legal defence, and granted fair trials according to the constitution and law.

The VBMP protest camp remains a powerful symbol of resistance against human rights violations in Balochistan, calling on national and international bodies to address the crisis and restore justice for affected families.
