Kalat: ASF Deputy Director and Commanding Officer Detained by Armed Individuals

KALAT, BALOCHISTAN: An Airport Security Force (ASF) senior official has been taken into custody by armed individuals in Kalat, Balochistan, sources confirmed.

Waseem Ahmed, Deputy Director and Commanding Officer of the ASF, was reportedly intercepted at a checkpoint on the main highway near Kalat while traveling on official duty. Sources identified the armed individuals as Baloch Freedom Fighters.

According to the source, Waseem Ahmed, who was stationed in Zhob at the time of the incident, has previously served in several major cities including Multan, Karachi, and Panjgur. Following his appointment as Deputy Director, he was assigned to postings in Karachi and Zhob.

Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the detention.
