MASTUNG, BALOCHISTAN: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Professor Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Syed Manzoor Ahmed have gone missing along with two other colleagues while travelling from Gwadar to Quetta, according to family and university sources.
According to sources, the four including Lecturer Shakeel and a driver were travelling in an official government vehicle when contact was lost near Mastung district.
Sources indicate that armed men riding four motorcycles intercepted the official vehicle in the Khadkocha area of Mastung and abducted all four persons, taking the vehicle with them.
Local administration has confirmed that efforts are underway to locate the missing officials. No group has claimed responsibility and security forces have yet to issue an official statement.
