BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed full control of Dalbandin city and declared complete dominance over the Quetta-Taftan main highway following ten coordinated operations carried out on May 15 and 16, 2026. The group claims 11 Pakistani security personnel were killed across the operations, several others were wounded, and multiple vehicles were destroyed.

May 15 Operations

In the Kanak area of Mastung, BLA fighters have seized five large trailers carrying chromite minerals on the Quetta-Taftan highway before setting them ablaze. In the same day in Mastung’s Sheikh Wasil area, fighters have planted explosives and completely destroyed a bridge on the Quetta-Taftan highway, disrupting what the group described as enemy supply lines.

In Noshki’s Mal area, fighters have full control of the Quetta-Taftan highway for several hours, conducting snap checking during which four individuals linked to the Saindak project were detained for interrogation. When Pakistani security forces attempted to advance into the area, our fighters repelled the advance, killing two personnel on the spot, wounding several others, and severely damaging a military vehicle.

In Kharan’s Armaghai area, fighters seized two mineral-carrying cargo trucks and set them on fire.

May 16 Operations

In the Abad area of Mastung’s Kanak area, BLA fighters have ambushed a regular Pakistani forces convoy on the Quetta-Taftan highway, killing three personnel, wounding several others, and disabling a military vehicle on the spot.

In Turbat’s Nasirabad area, fighters destroyed all surveillance cameras installed at a Pakistani forces post. Similarly, the state surveillance camera network was disabled in Tump’s Hayatabad area. In the Jabshan area of Zamuran, fighters targeted the water supply machinery of Pakistani forces, causing severe damage.

Dalbandin City Seized

In a highly organised large-scale assault, fighters had full control of Dalbandin city, with all government buildings including the local police station, remaining under fighter control for several hours. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment was seized from the police station while official vehicles were set ablaze.

When Pakistani forces attempted to advance at the Bypass location, the BLA claims its fighters launched intense attacks killing six personnel, completely disabling two military vehicles, and forcing remaining forces to retreat, leaving behind wounded comrades.

BLA Issues Highway Warning

In the same statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch declared that the group has established complete control over the Quetta-Taftan highway and will no longer allow vehicles carrying minerals or natural resources to pass through the route under any circumstances.

“Any companies, contractors, or transporters who choose to be a part of this exploitative plundering of Baloch resources will be solely responsible for all of their own life and financial losses,” the statement read.

The group appealed to the Baloch public to cooperate with its fighters on the highways, assuring ordinary commuters of their safety and protection. It also issued a stern warning to all local and non-local companies involved in mineral transportation to immediately cease operations in Balochistan, threatening that future strikes would be more severe.
