
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Three people were killed in separate shooting incidents across Balochistan, with attacks reported in Quetta, Kech area of Tump and Usta Muhammad.
In the first incident, a street vendor was shot and killed by armed assailants in the New Saryab area of Quetta. Police stated that the attack appeared to be motivated by a personal dispute. The attackers fled the scene following the shooting and the body was transferred to hospital. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
In the second incident, a man identified as Amir Noor, a resident of the Konshqlat area of Tump, was killed and his wife wounded when unknown armed men stopped a passenger bus on the road and forced the couple off the vehicle before opening fire. Amir Noor died on the spot while his injured wife was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The couple had reportedly been travelling to Karachi for medical purposes at the time of the attack. The identity and motive of the attackers remain unknown.
In a third separate incident in the Gharibabad area of Usta Muhammad, a man named Rajab Ali was shot and killed by motorcycle-borne gunmen near a railway crossing on Jacobabad Road.
Police sources indicated that the killing was linked to an old dispute over illicit relations, adding that the matter had previously been settled. The perpetrator is reported to be a cousin of the deceased. Police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and transferred it to hospital before handing it over to the family. Usta Muhammad police are conducting further investigations.
