KHARAN: During a military operation in the Lejay area, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared Dr. Shahjahan and set his home on fire. The operation involved surrounding the area and targeting residential neighborhoods, resulting in significant distress among the local population.

In the village of Showap within Lejay, mortar shells fired by the forces injured four civilians, including women and children. Among the injured are Bibi Zakira, Bibi Shafiqa, Hafiz Tahir and a one-year-old child named Nadia.

The mortar blast also caused damage to their home. Sources report that the condition of the injured is critical. However, the security forces’ siege of the area has hindered the transfer of the wounded to hospitals.

Reports indicate that various parts of Lejay have been completely encircled by the Pakistani forces, with quadcopters and drones observed flying overhead. Mortar fire continues from different directions, intensifying the security operation.
In a related incident in Kharan, Pakistani Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel raided a home during nighttime, violating the sanctity of the residence. They verbally abused women and innocent children present and looted cash amounting to millions of rupees and gold before fleeing the scene.

Yesterday after the Military operation the affected family staged a protest sit-in at Chief Chowk, visibly expressing their pain, anger and urgent demand for justice.
