Quetta: Pakistani military forces launched operations in Tump and Kharan in Balochistan, targeting residential areas, reportedly destroying homes and seizing valuables.

According to local sources, the operation began early this morning in Kohad and surrounding areas of Tump, Kech. Security forces reportedly conducted house-to-house raids, targeting residents, including women, with physical violence. Several homes were demolished or set on fire, and jewelry and other valuables were confiscated. Details about arrests remain unavailable.

In Kharan, similar operations were reported in Lajay and adjacent areas. A local resident stated that a convoy of multiple military vehicles entered the area at dawn, encircled the neighborhood, and began operations against local inhabitants.

Human rights observers note that such operations have intensified across Balochistan in recent weeks. Earlier this month, reports emerged of enforced disappearances from Quetta and other districts, as well as the discovery of over twenty bodies showing signs of torture, many of whom were previously listed as forcibly disappeared.

The incidents have raised serious concerns among civil society and human rights organizations regarding excessive use of force and the targeting of civilians during ongoing military operations.
