Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a new video purportedly showing Pakistani soldiers in its custody, presenting their official service cards and national identity documents.
In the footage, the detained personnel appear before the camera holding their service cards and Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs). The soldiers state that they were formally recruited into the Pakistan Army, issued official documentation and deployed at various locations. They claim that despite this, the relevant authorities are now refusing to acknowledge them.
One of the soldiers appears emotional in the video, stating that the footage is genuine and appealing to authorities to take steps for their release.
Earlier, the BLA had announced a seven-day deadline for a proposed exchange of prisoners. According to the group, only three days now remain before the deadline expires.
