
QUETTA: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has said that a young man identified as Noman, son of Haidar, was forcibly disappeared and later extrajudicially killed by Pakistani security forces in Kech, Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by BYC, Noman, a resident of the Mand, was detained by the Pakistani army and Frontier Corps (FC) on November 19, 2025, from a picnic point. The statement further claimed that during the same incident, Noman’s friend, identified as Ismail, was killed on the spot.
BYC stated that following his detention, Noman remained forcibly disappeared for nearly two months, with his whereabouts unknown to his family during this period.
The statement said that on January 21, Noman’s body was recovered from the Roothbon area of Tump in Kech and later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for identification. According to BYC, the body bore visible signs of severe torture and gunshot wounds.
BYC has termed the incident a case of enforced disappearance followed by extrajudicial killing and has called for accountability and justice.
