QUETTA: Dr. Shalee Baloch, organizer of the Baloch Women Forum, has said that the family of disappeared Baloch woman, Nasreen Baloch, has approached every possible forum for justice and, after not receiving any information about her whereabouts, has finally joined the protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) in Quetta. She shared her statement on the social media platform X.
According to Dr. Shalee Baloch, Nasreen Baloch has been in state custody since November 22. She said Nasreen’s family repeatedly contacted the concerned authorities but no information was provided regarding her location or legal status.
She added that more than a month has passed, yet Nasreen has not been produced before any court, and her detention remains undisclosed, which has increased the family’s anxiety and concerns.
Dr. Shalee Baloch said that such detentions are illegal in nature and create further deterioration in the situation of Balochistan. She stated that the reported abductions of Baloch women have intensified worries among families and highlighted the seriousness of the issue.
She urged the authorities to ensure the immediate release of Nasreen Baloch and other forcibly disappeared Baloch men and women, and called for respect for fundamental rights and due legal process.
