QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released what it describes as its annual operations report for 2025, claiming responsibility for 521 attacks across Balochistan and asserting that these resulted in the deaths of more than 1,060 members of Pakistan’s security forces.

The report, titled Dhak, includes infographics, photographs and descriptions of incidents the group says were carried out as part of its campaign against what it terms the “occupying Pakistani army, its collaborators, military installations and agents.”

According to the document, the group’s fighters “defeated the enemy on many fronts” during the year and conducted what it called “systematic operations.” It further claimed that more than 556 personnel and informants were injured in various attacks.

The BLA also stated that it killed 75 people it labelled as informants, saying some were detained during raids and “sentenced to death” by a body it referred to as the “Baloch National Court.”

The group said it carried out 15 “special operations” in 2025 four by the Majeed Brigade, six by the Fateh Squad and five by the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS). It added that its intelligence wing, the Zirab (Zypher Research and Analyses Bureau), played a key role in identifying targets and planning operations.

The report claimed that BLA fighters conducted 212 explosions, including 112 improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, and destroyed 215 military vehicles and motorcycles, 35 quadcopters and surveillance drones, seven communication and surveillance towers, and three railway tracks. The group also said it seized 208 weapons from security forces and their collaborators.

The BLA further asserted that its members took control of 48 locations during the year including what it described as military camps, police and Levies stations and the towns of Zehri, Manguchar, Surab, Mastung and Panjgur and established more than 42 highway blockades across Balochistan. It claimed to have detained 366 people it referred to as “agents,” including some members of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The report said that the Majeed Brigade carried out four operations involving ten “fidayeen,” including the hijacking of the Jaffar Express in Bolan during what it called the second phase of “Operation Darra-e-Bolan.” It claimed that hundreds of military personnel onboard the train were taken into custody. It also cited attacks on security convoys in Nushki, Turbat and Dasht.

The group said that the Fateh Squad and STOS conducted 11 additional operations, including the takeovers of Zehri and Manguchar and attacks in Nushki, Kalat and Quetta, which it claimed resulted in the killing of several senior officers.

According to the report, 72 BLA members were killed during 2025, including 11 from the Majeed Brigade, whom the group described as having “attained martyrdom.” It said operations would continue “with greater intensity” until, in its words, the “enemy is forced to completely withdraw from Balochistan.”
