Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks carried out in Noshki, Tump and Dasht, alleging the killing of three Pakistani military personnel, the downing of a quadcopter, and the destruction of telecommunications equipment.
According to a statement released by Major Gwahram Baloch, spokesperson for the BLF, its fighters targeted a vehicle in a convoy of Pakistani forces with an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Zarrin Jungle area of Noshki at around 4:00 PM on December 18. The group claimed that three military personnel were killed and two others injured, while the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The statement further said that on December 19, BLF fighters were conducting a routine patrol in the Malant area of Tump when Pakistani forces used a quadcopter to track them. BLF claimed that its fighters retaliated by shooting down the quadcopter.
In a separate incident on December 20, BLF fighters reportedly targeted a Pakistani army camp in Malant, firing multiple grenade launcher rounds into the facility. The group claimed that the attack resulted in casualties and material losses, though no independent confirmation was available.
Additionally, BLF stated that on December 19, its fighters destroyed machinery of a Ufone mobile tower in the Shay Zangi area of Dasht, saying that the installation was being used for surveillance purposes.
The BLF claimed responsibility for all three incidents, stating that the operations resulted in the deaths of three military personnel, the downing of a surveillance quadcopter, and the destruction of telecommunications infrastructure.
