Policy Statement

Zrumbesh Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) is a journalistic and cultural media platform dedicated exclusively to providing factual, credible, and responsible news from Balochistan, a region widely recognized as an information black hole due to prolonged censorship and severe media restrictions. All content published by Zrumbesh is presented strictly within the framework of news reporting, documentation, analysis, and public-interest journalism.

ZBC does not seek to glorify violence, terrorism, or armed conflict, nor does it aim to downplay, justify, or sensationalize human rights abuses. Any images, footage, or reports that may be sensitive in nature are used solely for informational and documentary purposes, to reflect ground realities, raise public awareness, and document developments that are routinely ignored or suppressed by mainstream media. This approach is guided by internationally recognized journalistic standards and ethical responsibilities.

While ZBC is institutionally affiliated with the Baloch National Movement (BNM), it operates with full editorial autonomy. The BNM does not exercise control over Zrumbesh’s editorial policy, newsroom decisions, content selection, or journalistic practices. Content published under ZBC platforms does not represent official political positions, statements, or directives of any political organization, including the Baloch National Movement.

As an autonomous media body, Zrumbesh Broadcasting Corporation upholds the principles of accuracy, responsibility, freedom of expression, accountability, and cultural preservation. Its mission is to inform, not to incite, and to provide balanced, contextual, and ethically grounded reporting with the highest level of professional integrity.

Editorial Standards & Ethical Guidelines

Verification of Information

ZBC prioritizes accuracy and verification prior to publication. News is cross-checked through multiple credible and independent sources whenever possible. In situations where immediate verification is not feasible due to censorship, access limitations, or security constraints, information is clearly labeled as unconfirmed or under verification to maintain transparency with audiences.

Use of Sources

ZBC follows strict ethical standards in its engagement with sources. The safety, dignity, and informed consent of sources are respected at all times, particularly in high-risk and sensitive environments. Anonymous sources are used only when necessary and when the information provided is assessed to be reliable and in the public interest.

Corrections and Accountability

If an error is identified, ZBC is committed to issuing prompt, transparent corrections or clarifications. Corrections are published clearly and without concealment, ensuring editorial accountability and maintaining public trust.

Separation of News and Opinion

ZBC maintains a clear and consistent distinction between factual news reporting and opinion or analytical content. News reports are based strictly on verified facts, while opinion pieces and analyses are clearly labeled and reflect the views of their respective authors, not the institution.

Handling Hate Speech and Incitement

ZBC does not tolerate hate speech, incitement to violence, or content that promotes discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, nationality, or political belief. Any such content is rejected, edited, or removed. Editorial safeguards are applied to ensure that reporting remains responsible, contextual, and non-inflammatory.
