Awaran: An intense armed attack was carried out on a military convoy in the mountainous Sogar area of Jhao tehsil, Awaran district, where the convoy had entered for an operation a day earlier.
According to sources, the attack took place at Tarji and was of a severe attack, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire that continued for more than four hours.
Local sources reported that following the clash, six military ambulances and helicopters were seen moving to and from the area, raising concerns about possible casualties. Sources claimed that multiple military personnel were killed during the fighting; however, authorities have not yet confirmed the casualties or released any official figures.
Sources further stated that after the attack, Pakistani security forces carried out intense shelling in the area, which spread fear and panic among the local population.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
