Quetta: The protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) set up to demand the recovery of victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan entered its 5,990th consecutive day on Monday.
In a statement marking the occasion, VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch expressed deep concern over the enforced disappearance of Shehak Qambrani.
According to Nasrullah Baloch, the VBMP received a complaint from the family of Shehak Qambrani, claiming that he was detained by security personnel from his residence in Killi Qambrani, Quetta, around 11 p.m. on November 2 and subsequently moved to an undisclosed location.
Condemning the incident, Nasrullah Baloch urged the Government of Pakistan and the concerned authorities to ensure the immediate and safe recovery of Shehak Qambrani and to end the ongoing practice of enforced disappearances in the province.
He said that such incidents constitute serious human rights violations, creating widespread fear, insecurity, and mistrust among the people of Balochistan.
The VBMP chairman reaffirmed that the protest camp will continue indefinitely until all missing persons are recovered and justice is served to their families.
