Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and surveillance installations in different parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Kharan, and Sami.
In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out three separate attacks aimed at Pakistani military personnel and surveillance equipment.
According to the statement, BLA militants launched a grenade attack on Pakistani soldiers stationed on Barori Road in Quetta while they were conducting a checkpoint operation. The explosion reportedly injured five soldiers.
In a separate incident, the group claimed to have targeted a military truck in the Barshonki area of Kharan using a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED), killing two soldiers and injuring four others.
The spokesperson further stated that after the attack, the “panic-stricken Pakistani forces” opened fire indiscriminately on nearby civilian areas, damaging several homes.
The BLA also claimed responsibility for an earlier attack on October 30 in Geshkor, Sami, where its fighters destroyed Pakistani military surveillance cameras and a communications tower.
The statement concluded by reaffirming that the Baloch Liberation Army was responsible for all three incidents.
