Khyber: At least 22 civilians, including women and children, were killed in Pakistani air force bombings in the Tirah Valley’s Aka Khel, Metra Dara area of Khyber district. Local sources reported that three to five homes were directly hit and completely destroyed. Eyewitnesses said many victims remain trapped under the rubble, raising fears of a higher death toll.
Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen strongly condemned the attack, stating: “The Punjabi army has once again targeted the Pashtun people. Today, in Shadlow Metra village of Tirah Valley, 23 Pashtun women and children have been martyred, while others are still being pulled from the debris.”
The strike comes just days after similar aerial and drone bombings in Zehri, Balochistan, where six civilians, including women and children, were killed and five others injured. Locals and rights activists have denounced these repeated airstrikes as unconstitutional and grave violations of human rights, demanding urgent investigations.
