Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Azad Baloch stated that on June 21, BLA fighters shot and killed Sub-Inspector Fida Ahmed of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Gom area of Kalat.
He added that Fida Ahmed was not only an active officer of the notorious Pakistani force CTD but also a personal collaborator of the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies. According to the spokesperson, he was directly involved in the arrest, torture, and killing of several youths in Kalat and surrounding areas at the behest of the military. He was accused of committing numerous serious and inhumane crimes against the Baloch people and their movement.
The spokesperson warned that others affiliated with Fida Ahmed’s network, as well as various collaborators and informants in Kalat and nearby areas, are now BLA targets and will soon be made examples of.
