QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: BRG Claims Attacks on Pakistani Forces in Kachhi, Nasirabad, Says Six Personnel Killed
The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) has claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani security forces in Kachhi and Nasirabad districts, saying six personnel were killed and a quadcopter was shot down, according to a statement issued by its spokesperson.
BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said in the statement that the group’s fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces in the Dhadar and Sanni Road areas of Chitri in Kachhi that morning. He claimed the convoy had arrived to conduct an operation and was attacked with heavy and automatic weapons.
According to the statement, two vehicles were hit, killing five personnel on the spot and wounding several others. The group also claimed it shot down a quadcopter that was conducting surveillance over the convoy.
The spokesperson said that, separately, BRG fighters attacked a security forces checkpoint at Nowtal in the Nasirabad district with heavy and automatic weapons, killing one personnel and wounding several others.
The BRG claimed responsibility for both attacks and said such actions would continue.
