QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: Attacks on Pakistani forces have occurred in Quetta, Khuzdar and Kech district of Balochistan, with forces targeted in bombings and armed assaults in separate incidents.
In Quetta’s Aghberg area, armed men attacked a police checkpoint, resulting in clashes between police and the attackers that set ablaze some parts of the police station.
Police claim to have killed five attackers.
Meanwhile, in the Hironk area of Kech, unidentified individuals targeted Pakistani forces’ foot patrol personnel in a bombing this morning. According to reports, the personnel were targeted in the bomb blast while engaged in road-clearance duty.
Reports indicate that personnel sustained casualties as a result of the blast; however, authorities have not yet provided further details.
Unidentified attackers launched a heavy assault on a Pakistani forces checkpoint at Balbal Salman Jo in the Zehri area of Khuzdar.
According to sources, two personnel were killed and several others wounded in the attack. No group has claimed responsibility for these attacks.
